wil·â€‹li·â€‹waw | \ ˈwi-li-ËŒwȯ \
a sudden violent gust of cold land air common along mountainous coasts

Williwaw is a piece inspired by wind, specifically those cold bursts of air from the mountainside that stumble into the ocean. The piece contains beautiful imagery one might associate with these tempests. The dark, ominous, clouds suggest an impending blast of wind can be heard in the low tremolo phrases. The quick descending runs signify the brisk air rushing from its rocky crags to the watery depths. The sudden swells and quick decreases imply the unpredictability of the wind surges.
